To travel from Bali to Nusa Penida, you can choose from several ports depending on where you are staying:

  1. Sanur Port: Popular and close to major tourist areas in southern Bali. The trip takes about 30-45 minutes.
  2. Kusamba Port: Located in eastern Bali, suitable if you’re staying around Candidasa or Karangasem. The trip takes about 30-45 minutes.
  3. Padang Bai Port: Also in eastern Bali, offering fast boats and ferries. The trip might take longer depending on the type of boat.

Choose the nearest port and make sure to check the schedule and book your tickets in advance.

After arriving in Nusa Penida, we continued our journey by car. A little information we can provide is that for transportation rental, you cannot book transportation to one tourist destination and then book again to go to another tourist area. You can only book transportation for a whole day. In Nusa Penida, you can also rent a motorcycle.
